Saying he understands from his correspondent's letter that he wishes to exclude the silver in question from their agreement and that he is sorry to perceive his friend's regret, returning something the correspondent sent because opening it would be an injustice to their friendship, and adding that if his friend came he would expect him at the macaroni meal etc.
